Shower House Closure

Water testing at the well serving the north shower building at Totogatic Park has continually resulted in high nitrate levels since early summer of 2022.  State regulations require notifcation that the water is not safe to drink.  Wisconsin DNR also requires continual and frequent water tests to monitor these nitrate levels during any quarter that the facility is open for public use.  In order to comply with DNR regulation on nitrate testing and avoid continued intensive monitoring efforts, we have elected to shut down this well and the shower building.  All other wells in the park will remain operational until later in the fall.  The shower building in the new park section will remain open.

We continue to investigate potential sources of contamination and we are planning on drilling a new well before the 2023 camping season.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
